The Collective Motherhood Project
Tell your story. Read the stories of others. Join the collective journey.
Collective Motherhood is the idea that in our modern world, we have a lot of information but often lack true connection. Many of us live far away from extended family. As a result we are one another’s best resources, a kind of global tribe that offers the best information possible: the words of our own experiences. The transition to parenthood is awe-inspiring but can also be isolating and difficult. Parenthood, especially the early years, are some of the most vulnerable, strange, and real moments in our lives. The Collective Motherhood Project is a way to connect parents to one another and to normalize and support what we, collectively, are experiencing. The Collective Motherhood Project seeks to celebrate the transformational journey of parenthood by empowering and supporting parents through connection with each other.
The book series is the first part of the Collective Motherhood Project. The series will explore specific topics through pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. These are real people, real experiences, real stories.
We are now interviewing women for the birth story book. If you want to share your story click here.
